Education for Schools and Kindergartens

POTTS Paediatric Occupational Therapy is able to offer onsite or online education sessions to schools, kindergartens and daycares.

I am passionate about supporting children to thrive in their learning and development. With expertise in sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation and trauma informed practice, I provide practical, evidence-based education to teachers, early childhood educators, and school staff.

I deliver engaging professional learning sessions tailored to the needs of schools and kindergartens, equipping educators with strategies they can integrate into daily routines and classroom environments. My sessions focus on:

  • Sensory Processing – understanding how children take in and respond to sensory information, and how to adapt learning environments to support focus and participation.

  • Fine & Gross Motor Development – building skills for handwriting, self-care, play, and participation in sport and classroom activities.

  • Emotional Regulation – providing tools to help children identify feelings, build resilience, and use self-regulation strategies in learning and play.

  • Trauma-Informed Practice – offering education and strategies through a trauma-informed lens, supporting educators to create safe, predictable, and supportive learning environments for all children.

By working collaboratively with educators, I aim to empower schools and kindergartens with knowledge and strategies that enhance student engagement, wellbeing, and learning outcomes.
